Come and join Sarah, owner and founder of weaveKNITit and learn how to knit a blanket using your arms and hands as the needles. It sounds strange but you don’t need to know how to knit, it makes more sense if you do but don’t worry as you will learn how to cast on, how to complete stitches and keep the yarn from twisting, identify the rows and work out how many stitches you need and how to cast off. Most people have enough time once they have mastered the basics to complete the blanket in just the 2 hours!!!!
You will be using 2 kilos of hand dyed fibre, dyed to your requested colour from British sheep.
This workshop is held at the weaveKNITit studio above the shop at Cromford Mills, at the UNESCO World Heritage site at Cromford. Please note that there are some stairs as its on the first floor but toilets are on the same floor.
