Come along and learn how to hold a crochet hook (there’s different ways – left handers welcome) and tension yarn and create crochet stitches. This workshop is for complete beginners or those frustrated hookers that just need some help and guidance. The biggest problem to start with is hand manipulation , your hand is doing something different and with practice it becomes second nature. We will use different hooks and yarn and learn how to cast on and some simple stitches. I work with you so go at your pace, the plan is a headband or bracelet but quite often it turns into amigurumi or granny squares. Feel free to bring a pattern or an idea of what you want to make.
All equipment provided along with refreshments.
Tutor is Sarah from weaveKNITit, a wool artist and graduate from the Royal College of Art with over 2 decades of experience in the fashion and textile industry and a passion for sharing her textile love and knowledge.
