You will learn how to hold a hook, tension your yarn and make a foundation chain stitch. Once the basic has been mastered, in that they are even in size and it feels less awkward as your hands are beginning to get the muscle memory we will move onto different stitches. We cover different styles of hooks, yarn, American and British crochet terms and you will go away with a sheet, hook and yarn and the beginning of crocheting. It’s taught in small groups to allow Sarah to cater and change and adapt for varying levels and wants. Because some want to know how to do granny squares, some might want to do amigurami while others want to make clothes. This is the beginning of your crochet journey where you will get an understanding nd master the basics.
This workshop is held at the weaveKNITit studio above the shop at Cromford Mills, at the UNESCO World Heritage site at Cromford. Please note that there are some stairs as its on the first floor but toilets are on the same floor.
